3 drug peddlers arrested in Punjab

Police on Sunday arrested three alleged drug peddlers and seized from them 750 grams of intoxicating powdery substance.

The accused were identified as Jatinder Walia, Rajat Mall, both residents of nearby village Khalwaragate and Deepak Bansal, belonging to Haryana but presently residing in Phagwara, police said.

They were arrested during checking by three different police patrolling parties at Hoshiarpur road, Bhullarai road, Danamandi chowk, police said.
250 gram powdery substance was recovered from each of them, police said.
A case under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against them, they said.
