400g Stolen gold jewellery recovered

The district police have recovered the stolen about 400g of golden and silver ornaments and Rs 20,000 in cash and arrested two people from Boha in this connection. The theft took place betweena July 11 and 15 when the owner of the house had gone to attend a marriage ceremony.

The district police have recovered the stolen about 400g of golden and silver ornaments and Rs 20,000 in cash and arrested two people from Boha in this connection. The theft took place betweena July 11 and 15 when the owner of the house had gone to attend a marriage ceremony.


When owner Ramesh Kumar returned, he found that 400g of gold and silver ornaments, including 20,000 in cash, had been stolen from the house. He then filed a complaint with the Boha police station.

The arrested have been identified as Jot Singh and Balveer Singh. "We are still interrogating them as the duo can lead us to similar other cases," said SSP Bhupinder Singh Khattra.
