The police post on Tibba Road here bustled with activity on Wednesday morning as some unwanted guests had trespassed into the realm of the men in khaki. The cops lost no time in calling in the experts - snake charmers.

Initially, two snake charmers were called to get rid of a single serpentine, but in the end, everybody was taken aback to find six snakes.

It took snake charmers 15 minutes to get hold of the first snake. However, the experts insisted that there were many more on the compound and they were right when they caught six of them one after another.

Sub-inspector Paramjit Singh, who is the in-charge of the police post, confirmed presence of six snakes within and outside the police post.

"Thankfully, snake charmers live in a nearby locality. The open area around the police post is the breeding ground for snakes," said a cop.

Interestingly snakes were also caught from police commissioner's office in Ludhiana and police colony in Sarabha Nagar area last year.
