The Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam has completed construction of its 66-kilovolt substation at Rundhi village in Palwal district for Rs 6 crore.
A Haryana Power Utilities spokesman said here on Thursday that the substation has a 16-MVA transformer with provision for another transformer on requirement. It is connected to the 66-KV Aurangabad-Hassanpur transmission line.
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) planned to make six 11-KV feeders leading from the substation, three to feed more than 300 tube-wells and another three to feed 5,500 domestic households in five villages around Rundhi.
Seven other villages will get improved voltage and regular power supply indirectly, as their feeding power distribution system will get relaxation from overload after the commissioning of the new substation.
