7 Punjab judicial officers promoted, 59 transferred
The Punjab and Haryana high court on Monday promoted seven judicial officers of Punjab as additional district and sessions judges (D&SJ).
Those promoted include Kuldeep Singh Cheema (Mansa), Jatinder Pal Singh(Fazilka), Kiran Bala (Faridkot), Paramjit Kaur (Rupnagar), Ranjeev Kumar Vishisht (Tarn Taran), Girish (Amritsar) and Manjinder (Kapurthala). They were working as civil judges (senior division).
Kuldeep Singh Cheema has been transferred to Hoshiarpur, Jatinder Pal Singh to Fazilka, Kiran Bala to Bathinda, Paramjit Kaur to Barnala, Vishisht to Fatehgarh Sahib, Girish to SAS Nagar and Manjinder to Jalandhar.
The high court also transferred Sandeep Kumar Singla additional district and sessions judge, Ludhiana, to Hoshiarpur and Mandeep Kaur (Ludhiana) as presiding officer Industrial Tribunal, Ludhiana.
The high court transferred 57 other judicial officers in the rank of civil judges (junior division) and civil judges (senior division). All officers have been asked to join their respective places of postings by May 11. All the transfers were part of annual general transfers carried out by high court administration ahead of summer vacations in June, a senior official said.
Meanwhile the high court also modified transfer orders of five Haryana judicial service officers (civil judge senior division category). They were transferred on May 3. Two state superior judicial service officials too have been transferred, including Jagjit Singh from Narnaul to Faridabad and Anil Kumar in his place at Narnaul from Faridabad. Both are additional district and sessions judges.
