700 widows get free ration, quilts

Ration and quilts were distributed among more than 700 widows at Shri Gyan Sthal Temple. They also provided text books, exercise books to several needy schoolchildren.
A truck full of quilts was also flagged off for flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir. Chhattisgarh governor Balramji Dass Tandon was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the function, Tandon said the temple trust under the leadership of Jagdish Bajaj was carrying out services for the needy. He said a large number of philanthropists were coming forward every month with contributions.
Jagdish Bajaj, president, Sri Giyan Mandir Trust, said the trust had been conducting monthly function to provide assistance to needy women and books to poor students for the last two decades.
