8 booked for assaulting school owner's kin

The Basti Jodhewal police booked eight people for trespassing and assaulting Rajesh Bhatt, a resident of Maharan Partap Singh Nagar, brother of Bhuvnesh Bhatt, who owns MD Bhatt School at Maharana Partap Nagar on Friday.

The accused have been identified as Happy of Maharana Partap Nagar, Manga of Janakpuri, Manish, Tinu Ferozepuriya, Madan Ram, Atwal, Simmy, Satnam. Some accused are yet to be identified.

A case under sections 452, 323, 427, 148 and 149 have been registered against the accused in this context.

On May 21, a 4-year-old student of MD Bhatt School was unwell. Later, the parents of the girl registered a case of rape against unidentified accused at the Basti Jodhewalon police station on the same day.

Bhatt alleged that on the next day i.e. May 22, so me local leaders instigated the family and vandalised the school and trespassed their house. The accused also vandalised the house and assaulted him (Bhuvnesh Bhatt) with sticks, baseball bats and rods.

In the incident Rs 3,000 were also stolen. He was rushed to DMCH.

Inspector Balwinder Singh, SHO at police station Basti Jodhewal said the police have been conducting raids for the arrest of the accused, but have not been successful so far.
