With less than four weeks left for the parliamentary elections, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate, Punjabi singer Jassi Jasraj, has decided to consolidate his singer image to reach the masses.

Without wasting a moment after his name was announced as AAP candidate on Thursday evening, Jassi Jasraj, a native of village Sohali in Mohali district, started his campaign here after paying obeisance in Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, and Maisar Khana temple in the district.
Jasraj also held meetings with workers at different places.

It’s pertinent to mention that the AAP candidate would face a tough fight with sitting member of Parliament and SAD candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Congress-PPP alliance candidate Manpreet Singh Badal as rivals.

In a brief conversation with HT, Jassi Jasraj said, “We have no resources and very less time for campaigning, but we are dedicated towards the people.

The public had been exploited for a long time by corrupt leaders and now they want to throw these leaders out.

The Congress and the SAD-BJP combine know how to manage and purchase votes, but we play clean politics with clean heart.” “We would not be able to cover all 700 villages of the constituency but people know me as a singer and love me,” he said.
