Union minister for food processing industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Sunday termed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a pack of liars and a party full of contradictions.
Interacting with mediapersons during her visit to the city during sangat darshan programmes, Harsimrat said the AAP had woven an image around simplicity and austerity and it was the same party whose every leaders are embroiled in a controversy.
"In Punjab, AAP has managed to mislead people once, but the same would not be repeated again. AAP has split up in Punjab as there is no workmanship in the leaders and cadre," she said, adding the party does not even consider it good enough to maintain good relations with its MPs. She claimed that the Congress and AAP will fall apart amid dissidence and the people of Punjab will again vote the SAD-BJP alliance to power.
Answering a query on the problems of sugarcane farmers, the Union minister said chief minister has already passed directions to give relief to farmers within a week. "The basic problem of sugarcane crop is great disparity between the prices of sugarcane and sugar. In India, the sugarcane industry is reeling under crisis, but the condition of Punjab sugar mills is much better," she said.
The minister also interacted with women, many of whom expressed their desire to set up their own small business establishments, which could enable them to work from home alongside raising their kids. Harsimrat encouraged them to turn their talent into entrepreneurship. She said to facilitate small units to grow into businesses, the NDA government has set up Mudra Bank, which enables even the smallest of traders to borrow and pay back loan easily.
