The Aam Aadmi Party has approached the Election Commission of India against the Congress and the SAD-BJP alliance.

The Congress in its campaign is saying that "every vote to AAP is a vote to the corrupt SAD-BJP regime," while the coalition of the saffron and Panthic parties is saying that AAP is an offshoot of the Congress to eat into anti-UPA votes.

Upset over this, the AAP local unit has approached the ECI against the Congress and the SAD-BJP.

"AAP wants to bring to your notice that how the Congress candidate from Patiala Preneet Kaur is misleading the voters and harming the process of free and fair election. Voters are being misled that if they vote for the Aam Aadmi Party, then they will support the Shiromani Akali Dal," said AAP in a complaint to ECI and the Punjab CEO.

The complaint said that the Congress was playing a fraud with voters and trying to confuse them, because the Aam Aadmi Party had no relation with SAD .

"In this way the Congress candidate is using immoral and illegal way to play fraud with voters to confuse them and to stop them from voting according to their own wish," said AAP spokesperson, demanding a free and fair poll.

"WE have demanded action from the ECI for free and fair polls," said AAP leader Chaitanya Sharma.
AAP is giving a tough time to traditional parties in many seats of Punjab. Many times both the Congress and the SAD-BJP are left confused as to whose vote bank AAP is eating into.

On Sunday, Congress candidate Preneet Kaur in her speech said that every vote to AAP was a vote for the corrupt Badals. She said that AAP is not in the winning position, but largely eating into anti-state government votes, which will be a loss to the Congress. "Vote judiciously, as your vote to AAP will be indirect support to the corrupt Badals", she said. She even distributed leaflets over the same issue.

On the other hand, the Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Deepinder Dhillon in his address said that AAP is an offshoot of the Congress, which created this party to divert the anti-UPA votes. There was a Modi wave in the nation, thus vote for the SAD-BJP as your vote to AAP will be a support to corrupt Congress, who committed maximum scams in the last one decade.
