AAP hails court decision to sack Punjab CPSes, says Delhi case ‘different’

Welcoming the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High court quashing the appointment of chief parliamentary secretaries of Punjab, AAP’s Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh said on Saturday that the appointments were illegal and the Parkash Singh Badal government wasted public money to please people of the SAD-BJP alliance. He demanded that the money spent on the facilities given to the CPSes should be recovered from them and deposited in the state exchequer.

When asked if the decision will affect the fate of a similar case being heard in the election commission against AAP-appointed parliamentary secretaries for Delhi government, he claimed these were different in the sense that they were not putting any burden on the exchequer.
