The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Ludhiana, under its “Clean, Green and Healthy Ludhiana Project” held a traffic awareness drive on Ferozepur Road on Saturday.

Party volunteers led by Colonel CM Lakhanpal carrying placards educated the commuters about traffic rules near Verka Milk Plant.

Party convener Ahbaab Grewal said thousands of people meet accidents on Ludhiana roads every year, many of which prove fatal.

“If each citizen vows to follow traffic rules sincerely, the number of accidents can be reduced drastically and wasteful loss of lives can be prevented. So as a responsible member of society, it becomes our duty to make sure that each one of us knows the traffic rules and follows them sincerely,” Grewal said.

AAP volunteers said, “Even if one citizen of Ludhiana is able to avert a mishap keeping in mind our messages, we will feel that our campaign has been fruitful.”

They said the 'Clean and Green Ludhiana' team will hold many such campaigns across the city in the coming future.
