AAP leader Baljinder kicks off campaign at Talwandi Sabo

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Talwandi Sabo assembly segment for the 2017 Punjab assembly polls Baljinder Kaur kicked off her campaign by taking out a road show in the assembly constituency on Saturday.

Addressing the workers, she said that with the assembly polls approaching near Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress would unite to defeat AAP candidates. She said that same had happened during by-polls to Talwandi Sabo and Patiala assembly polls in August 2014. She had contested the bypoll as an AAP candidate in August 2014 and secured 13,899 votes.

Attacking the SAD-BJP alliance, she said the government has failed the state at every front. She said that unemployment, poor law and order situation and widespread corruption were affecting the people. She said that agriculture sector has been ruined under the rule of Akali led government.

Accompanied by hundreds of party workers, AAP’s women wing chief Baljinder passed through various areas in the town and paid obeisance at Takht Shri Damdama Sahib.
