Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and leading lawyer HS Phoolka has condemned the attack on advocate Vineet Mahajan, and demanded that minister Anil Joshi be sacked from the cabinet for his alleged role in it.

"A person who has no respect for democratic principles or for judicial courts should be sacked," he said to the media after meeting Mahajan in hospital. Phoolka was accompanied by members of the local unit of his party.

"The attack exposed the lawlessness on the roads of Amritsar and hooliganism of the SAD-BJP. This is nothing but 'sarkari goondaism'," he added. The Dal Khasla also condemned the attack and also demanded sacking of Joshi, "the person responsible for the attack on Mahajan".
