Giving a new angle to the ongoing infighting among the senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), its national executive member Naveen Jaihind has now accused Yogendra Yadav of being a Congress agent.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Jaihind alleged that the Congress had planted Yadav in the AAP and the latter had taken several steps to weaken the party politically.
Giving a list of several committees, formed during the UPA rule at the Centre, Jaihind alleged that because of his closeness to the Congress leaders, Yadav had been made member of 25 committees by the UPA government and he had direct access to several Congress leaders and ministries.
Jaihind dared Yadav for an open debate with him and to come clean about his induction in the several committees of the UPA government.
“During the Lok Sabha elections, Yadav had fielded former IAS officer Yudhveer Singh Khyalia from Hisar parliamentary seat, ignoring allegations against the former IAS officer in the controversial Vadra-DLF land deal”, he said.
He added, “I will bring a resolution for the removal of Yogendra Yadav from the party in the meeting of its national working committee”.
Talking to Hindustan times, Jaihind said, “I had collected several proofs against Yadav and will produce them in the coming meeting”.
Regarding the delay in his decision to expose Yadav, he said, “I had raised the issue several times, but now the truth has come out”.
He wondered, “If Yadav did not have any links with the Congress leaders, how he had been made the member of 25 committees during the UPA regime?”
