Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will release its first list of candidates for 2017 assembly elections in May this year.
An announcement in this regard was made on Thursday by Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann who claimed the people of the state were so “fed up” with both Congress and ruling SAD-BJP alliance that they were eagerly looking forward to elections to “throw out” these parties from the state.
“Everything in the public sector in the state, be it education, transport or health, was on the verge of collapse,” said Mann. He also said the state would be witnessing a second “freedom struggle” during the 2017 election.
“AAP will strive to restore Punjab to its old glory and will not attempt to make it another California,” he said.
