The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also held a rally at the fair, where the party’s MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann, said the HSGMC issue should be decided by the Sikhs of Haryana. “Both (CM Parkash Singh) Badal and (Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh) Hooda should step aside, and let the Sikhs of Haryana decide whether they want a separate gurdwara committee or want to remain with the SGPC,” said Mann while addressing the rally of his party.

When reporters pointed out that holding of a political rally during a religious occasion was being seen as against the principles of AAP, Mann replied, “We are not here to ask for the votes or support of the people, unlike what Badal does. We are a secular party and decided to hold a rally just to put forward our party's viewpoints on the state’s issues.”
