Members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Ludhiana, slammed the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) government for sitting on dharna against drug menace at the Indo-Pak border just to fulfill their political motives, and ignoring the government-run de-addiction centres.

AAP district convener Ahbaab Grewal said, "The state government is just showing off, but in reality nothing has been done to curb the menace of drugs. The example is government-run de-addiction centre in Ludhiana, where patienst are forced to suffer in absence of psychiatrist."

AAP Col CM Lakhanpal member Ludhiana said, "The patients are left to suffer at these centres."

Grewal said AAP would hold dharnas in front of these centres, if proper facilities were not provided to the patients. Party members, including Brigadier TS Thind, Amrit Pal, BS Chahal and other were also present.
