Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav has said that all ticket-aspirants for Lok Sabha elections, including him, appeared for an interview at Sonepat on Tuesday and the names of the shortlisted candidates would be announced in New Delhi on Thursday.

He was speaking with mediapersons at Chhotu Ram Dharamsala here on Wednesday, after attending a party volunteers' meet on issue of Dalits.

On the party's agenda for Lok Sabha polls in the state, he said, "The party would take five things before the electorate - corruption, job recruitment, stagnation in farming sector, liquor menace, education and health institutions."

He said that corruption was so rampant that there was an urgent need to introduce transparency, accountability and exemplary punishment to revamp the rotten system. Farming was no more a profitable ovation and farmers didn't want their next generation to take up farming. "Our party would work out on a model, which would make farming sector a remunerative venture and there should be a perfect balance between industrialisation and agriculture," he added.

On other issues, he said that there was also a need for getting a clearance from village women before issuing licence for a liquor shop in the vicinity.

On a query regarding allotting tickets to retired IAS/IPS officers who joined the AAP recently, he said that like other established parties, AAP would not promote parachute candidates.
