AAP to hold another fund-raiser dinner in Bathinda on March 17

Encouraged by the success of the earlier fund-raiser dinner here in January, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to host another dinner on March 17.

This was disclosed by the party’s central observer for Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency Romi Bhati.

However, the charges per person for sharing dinner with party leaders have been doubled from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for this event.

The party’s zonal media in-charge Neel Garg who, along with a five-member committee, would be overseeing the arrangements for the event, said that they were yet to finalise the venue.

He said senior leaders, including in-charge of Punjab affairs Sanjay Singh, national organistaion building head Durgesh Pathak, Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur and other leaders would take part in the event.

“Like in the earlier event, leaders would listen to views of participants and talk about the party’s perspective on these issues,” said Garg.

Earlier, the party had held the fund-raiser dinner in a hotel on the Bathinda-Barnala bypass on January 12. The party had then collected Rs 10 lakh from as many as 157 participants.

‘PARIVAR JODO’ CAMPAIGN

Meanwhile, storming the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) bastion in the Lambi assembly segment in Muktsar, represented by Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, AAP volunteers on Sunday visited households in villages under the assembly segment. As many as 72 teams (each team comprising a least 20 volunteers) visited the households as part of the ‘Parivar Jodo’ campaign.
