The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Ludhiana, has appealed to the city residents to donate blankets and woolen garments for the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir.

"With the approaching winter season, the people of J&K need woolen garments and blankets to ward off the cold,"said an AAP member.

The party spokesperson HS Phoolka said, "We all know that unprecedented floods have wreaked havoc in Jammu and Kashmir. They need our help at this critical time to tide over the calamity. I appeal to all Punjabis to come forward to stand with our distressed brothers and sisters in J&K and be part of the effort to support them in the hour of crisis. Ludhianvis are known for their generosity and readiness to help anyone suffering from grief and I am sure they will come out in huge numbers to help us in this endeavor."
