The volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Ludhiana, volunteers led by member of Parliament from Fatehgarh Sahib, Harinder Singh Khalsa, held a protest demonstration on Thursday against the detention of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi.

Many AAP volunteers gathered at Jagraon bridge and held a peaceful protest. These volunteers also held a candlelight vigil at Aarti Chowk on Wednesday evening.

AAP volunteers demanded immediate release of Kejriwal stating that his detention was unjust.

Volunteers justified Kejriwal's decision of not paying the bail amount, stating that since he did not felt guilty of any wrongdoing, he marked his protest against it by not furnishing the bail bond. Protesters also reiterated that his decision of not filing for bail was fully supported by the rank and file of the party.
