Aam Aadmi Party workers on Sunday submitted a memorandum demanding ramps to be built at the Sirhind railway station.

Submitting the memorandum to the station master, the workers demanded that ramps should be built at the earliest for the benefit of the differently-abled and senior citizens.

Party worker Tarlochan Singh said, “Sirhind station is a big junction but wheelchairs can be used only up to platform number 1. There are no ramps to reach the second and third platforms.

A railway official on the condition of anonymity said that the memorandum would be forwarded to higher authorities to arrive at a solution.
