ADC reviews development works in Gurdaspur

Additional deputy commissioner (development) Sukhdev Singh presided over a meeting of the district public works committee and reviewed the progress of developmental works being done under different schemes of the government here on Friday.

PWD (B&R) executive engineer Parminder Singh Tiwana informed the meeting that 90% of the work on the Dhariwal Community Health Centre had already been completed and the remaining work would be completed by December 31.

He said 85% of the ongoing work on the construction of additional classrooms in the Adarsh Senior Secondary School at Bhikhariwal village had been completed whereas the construction of the new Tehsil Complex at Dera Baba Nanak had been finished.

Tiwana said nine of the 14 works of laying new roads and repairing the damaged roads had been completed and the remaining five were likely to be completed within a week. The ADC (D) reviewed the pace of development of other projects underway in the district and expressed satisfaction over the progress.
