ADGP Punjab inspects ongoing recruitment process

Punjab additional director general of police and Punjab Police Recruitment Board chairman Iqbalpreet Singh Sahota visited Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College to inspect the recruitment process for female sub-inspectors on Wednesday.

Recruitment of 110 female sub-inspectors is currently underway at Jalandhar, Ferozepur and Fatehgarh Sahib. Singh said the Punjab police had received nearly 21,000 applications, adding that while the minimum qualification required for the post was a graduation degree, several candidates with post-graduation degrees had also applied for the post.

He said physical tests will conclude on September 18 at Ferozepur and September 22 at Jalandhar and Fatehgarh Sahib, following which a written test would be conducted in Jalandhar on October 12.

Sub-recruitment board chairman IG (NRI Wing) Gurpreet Deo said the physical tests have seen applicants from various districts across the state. She also said details of the recruitment process were available on the Punjab police website.
