It’s time to enrol your ward in the school, as all major private schools have announced to commence the admissions to kindergarten classes from October 19 onwards. Interestingly, this year most private schools have decided to hike the tuition fee by 8-10%.
The schools have started receiving various queries from parents regarding admissions in the junior classes. According to information, BCM Arya Senior Secondary School has decided to hike the tuition fee by 8-10%; Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, by 10%; Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, by 8%; Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School, Hambran Road, by 10%; and Sat Paul Mittal School, Dugri, by 10%.
Talking to HT, DB Sharma, director, Sat Paul Mittal School, Dugri said, “We have decided to hike the fee (tuition) by10% this year and admission forms can be collected from the school from October 19 onwards. The tuition fee is hiked by 10% every year as we have to pay increments and provident fund of teachers.”
Paramjit Kaur, principal, BC MArya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, said, “There will be 8 to 10% hike in tuition fee but no hike in the admission fee. The forms can be collected from the first week of November.”
Navita Puri, principal, Kundan Vidya Mandir School, said, “Except tuition fee (10%), there is no change in the admission fee for kindergarten. The forms will be available from first week of November at both online and school counter.”
Mona Singh, principal, Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, said, “The tuition fee is hiked considering upgradation of school infrastructure and providing best environment to students.” JK Sidhu, principal, DAV Public School, Sarabha Nagar, said, “The admission process will start from mid November. However, the matter regarding the tuition fee hike is still pending with the school management.
