Admn to hold 6-day drive to remove posters, banners

Defaced with posters and banners of various political parties, the city will soon regain its look as the district administration will hold a six-day drive to removing all the material.

The district administration has invited all political parties, non-government organisations (NGOs), educational institutes and others to participate in the drive to help them make Ludhiana clean.

The candidates of various political parties have pasted posters and banners in abundance at every nook and corner in the city to grab attention of voters.

Deputy commissioner Rajat Aggarwal said administration would hold a drive from May 10 to 15 and remove all posters and banners from the walls and roofs of buildings.

The deputy commissioner also made an appeal to the people to join the drive for cleaning the city.
