The Aam Aadmi Party has replaced its candidate Dr Ranjodh Singh Sran from Dharamkot in Moga district with Daljit Singh Sadarpura. A party press release quoted state AAP convener Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi as reasoning that Dr Sran’s campaign was weak, and the decision to replace him was taken by the AAP political affairs committee.

This comes a day after the party replaced its original Bhoa candidate Vinod Kumar, who had just hours before that, accused the party leaders of seeking Rs 1 crore to take care of his campaign.

When contracted, Dr Sran said he did not want to comment on why his candidature has been cancelled at this stage but will come out with the whole issue soon. He also denied that his campaign was listless.
