Ahead of student polls, NSUI announces new panel

Ahead of Panjab University's student council elections, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) announced its election panel on Wednesday. Rimpey Brar has been made the new president, while Hardeep Singh had been declared the party president.

Ahead of Panjab University's student council elections, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) announced its election panel on Wednesday.


Rimpey Brar has been made the new president, while Hardeep Singh had been declared the party president. Amrinder Singh, Simranjit Kaur Gill and Harpreet Singh have been declared the chairman, chief patron and state president, respectively.

The announcements were made by Rahul Inder Singh Bhattal, who has been appointed by the All India Congress Committee to co-ordinate and supervise the student body's campaign for PUCSC election 2014, accompanied by NSUI national co-ordinator Brinder Dhillon, PUCSC president Chandan Rana, Gagan Brar, a social worker, and state president of Punjab NSUI Daman Bajwa.

The new panel said that ensure that the all posts of PUCSC are bagged by NSUI. Senior student leaders Manoj lubana and Bhupinder Singh Batth voluntarily resigned from their posts of party president and chairman, respectively, to make way for the new young leaders.
