Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said on Saturday that the aim of the PPP, which was formed in the name of martyrs, was to help out the Congress, and it has been proved from the party's alliance with the Congress for the Bathinda seat."
Harsimrat was here to distribute stitching machines to 74 girls who had completed their training under the Nanhi Chhan project in Channu village.
"The Congress has laid its arms before the Lok Sabha elections and now imploring the party which has no political base of its own in the state. By increasing petrol and diesel prices, the Congress-led UPA government has unmasked its anti-people face once again," Harsimrat said.
She said that under the Nanhi Chhan project, nearly 100 such centres are running across the state from which about 4,000 girls have got training and this project aims to change the mindset of the society to strengthen the women economically and enable them to stand up against social vices.
