As per the initial investigation, Haria along with his men ---Bhaga, Deepu, Vicky and Ajay --- had come to attend a wedding function at a marriage palace on Sultanwind road.

On way back, gangsters of the rival gang started following them. Finally, Haria and his men were cornered near the Sultanwind gate chowk.

The attack near the Division-B police station triggered panic in the area. It has also raised question mark over the police functioning.
