Tormented by burning of St Sebastian Church in Dilshad Garden in Delhi, the Christian community in Amritsar on Tuesday took out a candle march and blocked traffic at Lawrence road chowk for almost an hour to lodge their protest against the incident.

The candle march was conducted from St Francis Church in Cantonment area to the Lawrence road crossing under the leadership of Father John, Father Wilson, Father Hose TJ, Father Jacob, Father Verky, Father Joseph and Father Romald.

Condemning the incidents of violence targeting minorities in Delhi, members of the Christian community urged the government to ensure security of religious places all over the country.
The Christians lamented the fact that such incidents were reported in the national capital irrespective of the fact that it was the seat of the government.
