The third annual photography exhibition ‘edu- clicks’ was inaugurated by mayor Bakshi Ram Arora at the Thakur Singh Art gallery here on Monday.

This three-day photography exhibition is organised by the students, alumni and staff of DAV Public School.

Edu-clicks is a brain child of senior English faculty Pratibha Panghal, in charge of publication and photography club, who with the help of principal Neera Sharma and fine arts teacher Varuna Khanna has brought ex-students and current students together on a single platform to exhibit their clicks.

“This time the exhibition is for a cause,” said Pratibha, “money collected from it will be divided equally among poor students who need money and 50% would be donated for the education of special children.”

Sahil Singh Aleria, who had painted two graffitis and one tribal art depicting various seasons; Manan Sharma’s award wining photograps of sahodaya competition; Nidhi Malik’s moods of a woman in Leh; Sabhya Grover, whose flora click was bought by the mayor; and Ansab Khan, an alumni and regular participant at edu click, and other students showcased various themes.

“In Amritsar, people do not respond to art, they can spend money on apparels, but money for a cause is not their cup of tea,” shares a group of amateur photographers.

The students showcased as many as 100 photographs on various themes.

The exhibition will conclude on Feburay 4
