The name of Jaideep, a student of Ryan International School, was recommended by his school for the show. After clearing various rounds of tests and auditions, Jaideep finally made it to the top-10 contestants who appeared in the fastest finger first round.

"I was very nervous on the show due to which I was not able to answer the first two questions of fastest finger first correctly. But in the third question, I was able to get the fastest answer," said Jaideep.

Jaideep added that he was completely awed by the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, the host of the show. "Initially, I was nervous. But at the shoot, I spend almost an entire day with him so I felt quite comfortable later. Bachchan is a very nice and warm person," he said.

Although Jaideep did not make any special preparation for the show, he followed news regularly. He is fond of reading books and encyclopedias, which helps him keep his general knowledge up-to-date, said Jaideep.

The prize money would be split between Jaideep and his school, but the young genius has not made up his mind on how to spend his share. "I did not go to the show for money. I just went because I wanted to be famous," he said.

Meanwhile, school chairman Augustine Francis Pinto and managing director Grace Pinto congratulated Jaideep and said he has brought laurels to the school. They said Jaideep is a scholastic boy in the real sense. "He has a deep passion for learning and is a voracious reader. Jaideep also takes active part in all co-curricular activities and has a knack of playing various musical instruments like guitar, piano, etc.," they said.

Striding on the eco-sensitive path shown by the school, Jaideep has resolved not to get an air-conditioner installed in his room as it would contribute to global warming, they added.
