Bajwa will infuse new life in party: DCC chief

District Congress committee president Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said here on Sunday that a large number of Congress workers from Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts would attend the party rally to be held at Amritsar on March 16 to welcome newly appointed PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa. He said that Bajwa was a seasoned politician and he was sure to infuse a new life in the state unit of the party.

Randhawa, however, praised former PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh for his services rendered to the party and the people of the state in the past 15 years. PPCC member Raman Bahl, former Punjab ministers Raman Bhalla and Sushil Mahajan, Punjab Youth Congress leader Gurdarshan Singh and former Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board member Kanwal Bakshi were also present.
