A day after the carcass of seven bovine animals were found in the town, two more dead bulls were spotted here on Saturday night.
The carcass of the animals were spotted by some morning walkers near the railway station, who immediately informed the police.
Following the recovery of the carcass of nine bovine animals on Saturday morning, shops and markets were shut down to as a mark of protest.
The police was also deployed in large numbers to prevent any untoward incident.
However, with the recovery of carcass of two more bulls, a question mark has been raised on security arrangements in the town.
Meanwhile, a group of BJP leaders along with former minister Master Mohan Lal met SSP Rakesh Kaushal and sought immediate action. They also demanded that the culprits be arrested at the earliest.
SSP Rakesh Kaushal told HT, "We have formed a five-member team, including high-rank officers, to arrest the culprits."
He said the police had intensified vigil in the town so that those behind the heinous act could be arrested. "We have also intensified vigil at isolated spots where stray animals are usually found," he added.
"It is assumed that the animals could have been poisoned. We are investigating to ascertain the cause of their death," said Kaushal.
