British PM likely to visit Amritsar next month

As the British Prime Minister David Cameron is expected to visit the holy city next month, a Liaison Team visited Amritsar on Tuesday.


During its visit, the team apart from visiting various places including Harmandar Sahib also met the officials Civil and police administration.

Talking to HT, Amritsar deputy commissioner, Rajat Aggarwal said, “There is a tentative programme of the British Prime and is expected to visit Amritsar next month. But nothing is finalized yet.”

The DC further added that a liaison team had arrived in Amritsar to look into various matters. But when will the British PM come, where he will go is not finalized, he added.

The Liaison team from the UK Government also visited Harmandar Sahib and also met some police officials in Amritsar.
