Attacking the Patiala royal family, Captain Amarinder Singh and his wife Preneet Kaur, on their home turf, Punjab cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia questioned their performance as elected representatives by descrbing  them as "inefficient and unapproachable".

Majithia said he would personally ensure their defeat in Amritsar and Patiala, so that people could get rid of these non-performing leaders.

"Amarinder's electoral fight from Amritsar will prove his last election and he would suffer a huge defeat at the hand of the people of Majha", he said.

Majithia, who is also Youth Akali Dal (YAD) president, while addressing a rally in favour of Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Deepinder Singh Dhillon,  also took a dig at the poor attendance record of Captain Amarinder Singh in the Punjab assembly. "What Amarinder will do for Amritsar, when his track record shows that he is a big absentee in the Vidhan Sabha session".

The vidhan sabha met for 88 times in the last seven years but captain attendance is only its 12 sittings, said Majithia drawing his comparison with the SAD-BJP candidate Arun Jaitley, who is adjudged the best parliamentarian for raising pro-public issues and
national issues.

Majithia said after his defeat from Amritsar, he would be free to visit Pakistan which was close to the holy city.

He said, "Captain's claim that he is available in Moti Mahal from morning till evening is a blatant lie as he is never available to the people and even his party workers".

Targeting Preneet, Majithia said that despite being MP for 15 years, the Congress minister had failed to bring a single major
project for Patiala.

On the occasion, Mr Deepinder Singh Dhillon said that people of Patiala paid the price for electing Preneet Kaur as she did nothing for the welfare of people and for the development of constituency.

He urged the people to give him a chance to serve them for five years and they will themselves feel the difference.

Earlier, Cabinet minister Surjit Rakhra and rally organisers Harmeet Singh and Harpal Singh Juneja addressed the workers and promised that YAD would ensure victory of Dhillon.
