Comedian Bharti turns 28 today

Our very own popular comedian Bharti, who has made mark in television industry through her character "Lalli", turns 28 on Thursday. Hailing from Amritsar, Bharti, before turning to TV shows, had been a sportswoman and had won gold medal in national level pistol shooting and archery.
 
A great stand-up comedian, Bharti was the second runner-up of stand-up comedy reality series The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (Season 4), later followed by Comdey Circus series. She has made her mark both in Bollywood and Pollywood with movies like Khiladi 786, Ek Noor, Yamle Jatt Yamle and Jatt and Juliet 2.
 
She has been a popular anchor of many awards and reality shows and was a contestant at Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 5, where she showed, both, her comedy and dancing skills. A great mimic artist, she has a great connectivity with live audience because of her sense of humour and impromptu in interacting due to her great comedy timing.

Students await math teachers, lecturers

Manvir, who arrived 15 minutes ahead of the morning assembly at his Bandala village school, is among the 150 pupils of class 10 without a math teacher for the board exams. All four master-cadre posts for the subject are vacant in this senior secondary school that has also lost its science batch of Plus Two in the absence of lecturers.
