The family lives in a village in Mand area. The girl was abducted from her home on January 28, when she had gone to the toilet outside the house, said her father.
She came back after two hours and the next day, complained of acute pain in the stomach. On repeated questioning, she narrated the incident, said superintendent of police Rajinder Singh.

“We removed her uterus, and repaired her intestines and other organs that were ruptured. But she is still in a critical condition,” said medical superintendent Dr Tejbir Singh.

A district court in Hoshiarpur that had recently completed a rape trial in just two days, sent another rape accused to jail for 12 years on Thursday — within three days of framing of the charges.
