Back home after grabbing a Bronze medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Wrestler Navjot Kaur has advised the Punjab Government to learn from Haryana when it comes to supporting players.

Navjot, who hails from village Bhagriaan in district Tarn Taran made the nation proud by grabbing a bronze medal in the 69 KG weight category.
After receiving a warm welcome in Tarn Taran, the wrestler said, "Definitely I am very pleased with my performance and it is always a dream to grab a medal in the International event. But one thing I would like to say is that Punjab needs to back its players. Despite winning various medals in the National Games and even international meets, I am yet to find a suitable job."

Lashing out, Navjot said, "Today crores are spent on Kabaddi but what about players like us who spend years to make a mark at International events. Despite a series of performances at national and International level, I was offered a job at the rank of a constable that I did not take. Punjab needs to learn from Haryana that backs its players heftily and with good job opportunities."
The CWG medallist said, "Punjab does not encourage its players the way it is required. If Haryana offers me, I would like to represent Haryana in National events, as they value the achievements of its players much better."

Claiming that she has won various medals for Punjab in National events, Navjot said, "I gave my best whenever I represented Punjab. But after ten years of my career I am yet to get a suitable job. This definitely disheartens."
However, Navjot admitted that she once did get financial help from Punjab. But repeatedly stressed that if Haryana offered her to represent that state, she will move ahead.
