GNDU constitutes committees in regional campuses

Guru Nanak Dev University vice-chancellor Prof AS Brar has constituted various committees for the smooth functioning of the university's regional campus at Gurdaspur for a period of one year from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

Registrar Dr Inderjit Singh said four committees had been constituted in the regional campus, Gurdaspur. The discipline committee includes Dr Sandeep Sood, associate dean, academic affairs and students' welfare, as chairman, Dr Rishi Raj Sharma, incharge, business management, Anu Sheetal, head, electronics department, Amit Pal Singh, incharge, computer science and the superintendent of the office.

The campus committee includes Dr Pawan Kumar, associate professor, law department, as chairman, Dr Parminder Kaur (law), Amardeep Kaur Ahluwalia (business management), Satbir Singh (electronics department) and Mini Singh Ahuja, computer science.

For the mess and canteen committee, Dr Parminder Kaur, assistant professor, department of law, has been appointed as chairman. The other members of the panel include Dr Harpreet Singh Chahal (business management), Anu Sheetal (incharge, electronics department), Satinder Kaur (computer science), Dr Sandeep Sood (computer science), Harjit Singh, electronics department, and Sharanjit Singh, computer science.

The cultural committee includes Dr Rishi Raj Sharma, incharge, business management, as chairman, Dr Ranjit Singh (law), Shashi Bhushan Rana (electronics department), Taqdir (computer science), Harjot Kaur (computer science) and Sapna (business management).

The V-C has also constituted various committees for the smooth functioning of its regional campus at Jalandhar (Ladhewali) for a period of one year from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

The discipline committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of associate dean, academic affairs and dean (students' welfare) Dr SS Sangha. The other members included in the committee are Dr RK Marwaha, head, law department; Dr Kamlesh Singh Duggal, head, journalism and mass communication; Dr Joyteesh Malhotra, associate professor, electronics and communication engineering department, Deep Kamal Randhawa, associate professor, electronics and communication engineering department, and Mandeep Kaur, assistant professor, computer science and engineering department.

The campus committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Dr Kamlesh Singh Duggal, head, journalism and mass communication, while Dr Harmeet Singh Sandhu, assistant professor, School of Legal Studies, Nirmala Devi, assistant professor, School of Legal Studies, Harminder Singh, assistant professor, electronics and communication engineering department, Nitika Soni, assistant professor, electronics and communication engineering department, and Dr Rupam Jagota, assistant professor, School of Legal Studies, are its other members.

The mess and canteen committee will be headed by Dr Jyootesh Malhotra. Charan Kamal Walia, assistant professor, department of journalism and mass communication, Buta Singh, assistant professor, department of electronics and communication engineering, Mandeep Kaur and Sheetal Kalra, assistant professor, computer science and engineering department, are its other members.

The cultural committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of associate dean, academic affairs and dean, students' welfare, Dr SS Sangha. Dr Kamlesh Singh Duggal, Dr Namrata Joshi, assistant professor, department of journalism and mass communication, Deep Kamal Randhawa, assistant professor, department of electronics and communication engineering, Pankaj Deep Kaur, assistant professor, computer science and engineering department, Mandeep Kaur and Dr Varinder Singh, assistant professor, law department, are the other member of this committee.

Dr RK Marwaha, head, law department, will be the chairman of the sports committee while Manjit Singh, assistant professor, department of electronics and communication engineering, Dr Varinder Singh, Pankaj Deep Kaur, and Inderpreet Kaur, assistant professor, school of legal studies have been included in this committee as members.

The women welfare committee will be headed by Dr Namrata Joshi. Its other members are Deep Kamal Randhawa, Nitika Soni, Nirmala Devi and Inderpreet Kaur will be its other members.
