Gurdaspur doctor killed by robbers

A doctor had to pay with his life for offering resistance to robbers who struck at his house here in the wee hours of Sunday.


The police said Dr Ashwani Mahajan and his family were sleeping on the first floor when the robbers entered the house and attacked Mahajan with swords.

They also injured his wife and daughter before making off with gold jewellery and cash. A case has been registered. Investigations are on.
