They said that even after Pathankot was declared a district, various posts, including that of civil surgeon, are vacant. They said patients are forced to go to Gurdaspur for treatment.

Chairman of Pathankot Vikas Manch Narinder Kala said that the post of child specialist was still vacant, while the orthopedic surgeon visits once or twice in a week. Sharma said that he was already in touch with the authorities and all the vacant posts of doctors would be filled soon.
