For all those women who love Pakistani clothes, a store stocking creations by Pakistani designer Shirin Hassan is set to open here soon.

Hassan has held a few exhibitions of her creations in Punjab. Aware of the craze for Pakistani clothes among women here, she decided to supply her designer wear to 'M Collection', the store here, which would be opened by her friend, Minni Sandhu.

In the city on Saturday, Hassan said: "I have been to India many times and found that there was a lot of interest in Pakistani designs. During my exhibitions also, these got a lot of attention. So, I contacted my friend, Minni Sandhu, in Amritsar, who showed interest in opening a store."

A wide range of designs would be showcased at the store," Hassan said. "Exclusive designer suits and prints, which are in demand in Pakistan, will be available."

Hassan said she had been participating in fashion shows in Pakistan, United Kingdom and other countries. "Coming to India always gives me joy," she added.

Sandhu, who is already in the clothing business said, "I have met Shirin a few times; her designs really impressed me."

"Wedding garments designed by Hassan will be another highlight of the store," said Sandhu. "It is expected to open in about two weeks."

Countryside no better: Sultanwind dotted with garbage heaps

It's not only the urban areas in the holy city that are marred with pathetic civic conditions, the historic village of Sultanwind on its outskirts too is a perfect picture of mess and government apathy.
