Determined to not let the Congress government in Haryana wrest control of the gurdwaras in that state, Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has asked the Centre to intervene, saying since "the leaders of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) were threatening members of the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee), anything can happen anytime".
