Road augmentation in full swing in district: Majithia

Amritsar district would soon have an upgraded road network as the work is underway on different roads measuring 72 km.


Information and public relation minister Bikram Singh Majithia said that the government was spending about Rs. 15 crore on upgrading 10 major roads in the district, which are near completion.

He said work is on 23-km-long Amritsar-Ajnala-Ramdass-Dera Baba Nanak road, GT Road bypass to Jagdev Kalan-Loharka (11-km), Ramdass to Fatehgarh Churian road (9-km), Ajnala-Fatehgarh
Churian road (1.25-km), Amritsar-Ajnala road (5.5-km), Ajnala-Chogawan road (3-km), Narli-China Bidhi Chand road (7-km), Gandiwind to Cheema road (4.3-km), Sirhali-Chohla Sahib road (5-km) and Attsh to Verpal road (3-km).
