Sikh Chetna march from Talwandi Sabo to Harmandar Sahib

A Sikh Chetna March to raise religious awareness, particularly among the youth, will start from Takht Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo on Thursday.

The march will be led by Takht Damdama Sahib jathedar Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh and end at Harmandar Sahib on November 18. The jathedars of the other Sikh Takhts and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar will participate in this march to be organised by the Dharam Prachar committee of the SGPC.

Dharam Prachar committee secretary Satbir Singh said here on Wednesday that the march would halt for the night at Muktsar; the following day it would pass through Kot Kapoora, Faridkot, Mudki, Talwandi Bhai and again halt for the night at Zira.

On November 17, it will resume from Zira and after passing through Harike, Sarhali and Nashera Pannu, will halt at Tarn Taran. On November 18, it will begin from Tarn Taran and end at Harmandir Sahib the same day.
