In a blatant incident, three eve-teasers followed a girl right up to her house after her brother confronted them and assaulted her and her family members on Thursday.

The girl, who was hit with a rod, suffered injuries in the back and leg. She has been admitted to hospital. The police are conducting her medical examination.

The girl told reporters that she was returning home from a coaching class with her brother in the evening when three boys teased her. "When my brother tried to stop them, they beat us up. We somehow escaped and reached home, but they followed us all the way to the house and, along with some of their accomplices, assaulted us and our family members," said the girl, pointing out that the boys had harassed her earlier also.

The girl's family said the boys lived in the Parkash Vihar area, where the eve-teasing incident happened.

Confirming the incident, Sadar SHO inspector Joga Singh said, "The family has given us names of some of the accused who live in the same locality. We are conducting raids. Soon all the accused will be arrested."

A case has been registered under sections 354, 452, 323, 324, 148 and 149 of the IPC.
