A day after three youths were killed in a road accident near Jaintipur village, two youths of Udokey village were killed and another received serious injuries in an accident near Kaler Kalan village on Sunday.

In both incidents, the deceased were aged between 15-17 years and were triple riding. Friends Jobanpreet Singh, Arjinder Singh and Rajwinder Singh, all residents of Udokey village, were going to a nearby gurdwara on their motorcycle (PB-12Q-7885), when a speeding Innova coming from opposite direction hit their vehicle near Kaler Kalan village and dragged them to some distance.

Passers-by rushed the three to Guru Ram Das Hospital, Amritsar, where Jobanpreet Singh and Arjinder Singh were declared brought dead while Rajwinder Singh was admitted with serious injuries. On receipt of information, the police rushed the spot and impounded the Innova while its driver managed to flee the spot.
